Step 1: Consult
One of JK Design's Account Executives will meet with you to discuss your goals, objectives and target audiences and learn about your branding, style guides (logos/fonts/colors) and content requirements. We'll discuss the number of design concepts you would like, the output material (brochure, PDF, poster, booth, etc) and sizes, the number of colors on the printed piece, the number of copies you require, in addition to your budget and your deadline requirements. Possible campaign themes will also be discussed. We'll then create a Project Estimate to summarize the scope, deliverables and schedule/timeline for your project.
Step 2: Create
Based on what we discuss during Step 1, we will create initial design concepts for your review. The first round of designs may or may not include textual content. Sometimes round one of a design just includes the design concept/imagery. Either you or your JK Design Account Manager can mark up the changes that you request on your choosen design concept.
Step 3: Content
JK Design will either integrate your campaign textual content, or our copywriters will create the first round copy for your review, based on initial campaign ideas discussed with you, and data that you may be providing. Your Account Manager also proofs the text prior to submitting concepts that include actual textual content. Either you or your JK Design Account Manager can mark up the changes that you request to your textual copy.
Step 4: Confirm
During this step, our JK Design team will sign-off on the final print piece internally. You will be presented with a final print piece and asked to confirm that it has met or exceeded your requirements. Print estimates will then be provided to you, based on the final print piece. The schedule for final production, as well as shipping details (shrink wrapping, fees, etc) will also be discussed.
Step 5: Commit
Prior to release to print, a full size dummy is printed and comped and the job pre-flighted. All team members, including the client, must sign off on this prior to release to the printer. If changes (author alterations) are made on press, additional project fees will be required. Samples from the final print production are delivered to JK Design, prior to delivering to you.
