Come on in and check out Internet Week New York, a week-long festival of events celebrating New York’s thriving Internet industry and community. Lots of info on social media, location based marketing, business networking, mobile marketing etc.
If anyone is interested let Brett or I know and we can help coordinate.
Here is some basic info:

June 7th – 10th: Internet Week HQ Open

Internet Week invites all interested companies and organizations to participate. Like the Web itself, Internet Week is open: anyone can attend events, and anyone can throw events citywide. No organization is too big or too small to be included. Open access for all!
Internet Week New York is presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences in cooperation with City of New York and The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting.
The Executive Council represents leaders from a diverse cross-section of old and new media, and provides strategic guidance and leadership for the event. Council members include John Battelle (CEO/Founder, Federated Media), Red Burns (Chair, Interactive Telecommunications Tisch School of the Arts, NYU), Bob Greenberg (Founder, R/GA), Bob Pittman (Founder, The Pilot Group), and John Wren (CEO, Omnicom).
