LabVolt, an NJ based client that designs and manufactures hands-on training laboratories, came to JK Design for a complete redesign of their out-dated Web site. Their existing site was not user friendly, had a very difficult-to-navigate product section and was in need of a complete redesign to highlight the professional and modern company that they are.
The biggest challenge was redesigning their product section. After various consulting meetings, JK Design reconfigured their product schema to ensure that any and all information relating to a particular product can be found within that product page. This helped to streamline the navigation and categorize areas of the site in a much more user-friendly format.
The new site takes full advantage of our customized CMS tools, as the client can update news and events, product information and images and workshop information without needing technical support from an outside company.
The site launched in October of 2008.
The site was created with a LAMP Solution Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) along with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Flash.
